Sanders campaign again refuses Bloomberg help in general election.

Bonus Quote of the Day

February 26, 2020 at 10:06 am EST By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment

“It’s a hard no. Bernie has said he’s going to fund his presidential campaign with small-dollar contributions, and I think we can do that. I think we can raise over a billion dollars in small-dollar contributions.”

— Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver, quoted by NBC News, refusing financial support from Michael Bloomberg in the general election.

It makes no sense to reject what Bloomberg is capable of doing with his Billions.

...that he's got big-dollar contributors who break down their $2,800 or $5,600 totals into hundreds of "small-dollar" contributions.

It still adds up to the same amount that other candidates get.

Hopefully Bloomberg will then help out Democratic House and Senate candidates with his money. We REALLY need to keep the House and flip the Senate.

(Assuming he doesn't just throw in the towel. He likes to give money away but not necessarily throw it away.)

This is quite a boast from Mr. Weaver:

I think we can raise over a billion dollars in small-dollar contributions.

And considering that PACs cannot coordinate with campaigns, I'm not even sure what "refusing his help" looks like. (Beyond the obvious $2800.)
