(51,574 posts)Bernie's percentages are about what they were in 2016, around 30%, but now the Hillary vote is split up among a lot more candidates.
And in 2016 Bernie got 58.98% of the vote in the Colorado caucuses (41 delegates to Hillary's 25). Now he's only got 34% in CO. His support has literally fallen off by half.
In 2016 Bernie got 33% of the vote in VA. This poll says he's only getting 28% now. That is not a gain.
This candidate field is just too damn big.

(43,206 posts)No way Bloomberg is tied with Warren, nor Gabbard polling well, nor Biden above 15, nor Sanders above 18. Just doesn't make any sense, to me in particular.

(10,622 posts)Once people see past the fear mongering and through the attacks funded by corporations and the extremely wealthy they see that not only are his policy proposals good for the American people, but that he agrees with the majority on issues like healthcare, education, climate change, immigration and most other issues working people are concerned with.
They see that he has always fought for the things our (working) class wants as opposed to the special interests that get the most love from Washington (no matter the party).
Given enough exposure to the truth, those who are not corporate 'persons' or financially benefiting from the status quo or the regressive tax code, tend to realize that unlike many hopefuls in the past, he will actually fight hard for those policies and not only let us assist in the fight via direct actions like peaceful protest and voting around obstacle politicians, he acknowledges that he needs and wants our grassroots help.
He is easily seen as a man who will not sell out OUR common goals for campaign contributions or million dollar speaking fees collected at the end of a tenure.
What one fights for matters.
Authenticity also matters.
That is what goes beyond polls to translate into momentum. IMHO.

(23,423 posts)It seems like the western US has a distinct trend regarding the support of certain candidates. I think it may be RELATIVELY consistent across western states through Rocky Mountains.
