"A new Yahoo News/YouGov poll suggests that Sanders could be a riskier nominee than his supporters are willing to admit. In a national trial heat with Trump, Sanders led 48 percent to 42 percent among registered voters. Yet when the playing field was narrowed to the 10 states that were closest in the 2016 presidential election and that will likely decide 2020 Michigan, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida, Minnesota, Nevada, Maine, North Carolina and Arizona Sanderss lead over Trump was slashed in half (48 percent to 45 percent). That 3-point gap was within the margin of error.
In contrast, former Vice President Joe Biden led Trump by 9 points nationally (50 percent to 41 percent) and by 7 points (50 percent to 43 percent) in the battleground states."

The article goes on to discuss the other candidates in the field as also weaker than Joe.

(51,007 posts)while I thought Bloomberg was our answer. I am a New Yorker, and I do have a really big place in my heart for him for the way he brought us out of the horribleness of 9-11. I know a lot of people don't like him, and I know their reasons are good, but he was great at that moment. He made it feel like we could breathe again.
But this number is really the only thing that matters, and it is holding steady for Joe. I love Joe, so this is no hardship for me.
Here's what I wish he would do, which I think would guarantee his victory: I wish he'd announce Kamala as his VP BEFORE Super Tuesday, and I wish he'd have a heart to heart with Bloomberg.
Bloomberg only got in the race because he thought Joe might be beaten by Bernie. Joe is doing better now, so Bloomberg should agree to drop out and take over Joe's messaging (Joe's hasn't been good and Bloomberg's has been excellent.)
If one or both of those things happened, nothing could beat him.
But YES!! Thank you for posting!!
