The Democratic Party Should Have One Goal And One Goal Only.

Stopping Trump.

And an added goal - preventing the religious right from appointing Ruth Bader Ginsburg's successor. If they get that goal, that is no bueno. And Trump will give them their prize if he is elected to a second term.

No matter what happens on Tuesday, we need to put aside any differences we have in order to stop both things from happening. We cannot afford another 4 years of this shit.

This does not matter if you're a Bernie supporter, or you prefer Joe Biden, or you prefer Elizabeth Warren. This affects all of us.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Taking back the majority in the Senate and booting Moscow Mitch out of his Leader's chair. Would love to get him out entirely, but that is a difficult thing in Kentucky.

Although is anyone up against Rand Paul? Or is his seat not eligible this year? I would love to see him taken out as well.

Except for retirements, I don't believe that any state has both Senators being elected in the same year.

Trump is a lunatic, and the GOP, knowing it, still enables his lunacy.

Beating Trump is not the end all, it's just the beginning ... and frankly, we have no freaking idea of who could or could not beat Trump. Maybe all of them, maybe none. Elections are full of surprises.

The real goal should be finding a strong candidate who would also make the best president. Whoever beats Trump will have to govern for 4 years. Within the bounds of viability and electability, people must also consider what kind of president a candidate will make.

blocking BOTH of the candidates Putin has weaponized as assets to destroy the United States.

Putin's already had huge victories in his war against us by getting control over the Republican Party and putting them in power in 2016. He got control of the right by corrupting and helping elect RW assets to office. AND, very notably, by persuading power-hungry politicians to make a deal with the Russian devil: Assistance taking control of our nation in return for cooperating with Russia against our nation.

Putin's trying to do the same on the left using the weaknesses found here. He couldn't take over by corrupting our leaders because liberal Democrats are DIFFERENT. But he could (once again) offer the same devil's deal of assisting an anti-liberal candidate who craved power so much he's accept it. And they both have proceeded ever since 2015 to corrupt the understanding and destroy the trust in the Democratic Party of those whose personal weaknesses cause them to believe their manipulations against all evidence.

And that's what's happening now: The continued attempt by Russia to destroy our party from within using our elections.

We know Russia assisted both Trump AND Sanders in 2015 and 2016. We know that Sanders was fully aware of that, and we know that Sanders both accepted Russia's use of him to defeat Democrats and was willing to see Democrats defeated if he couldn't win. (Btw, we don't know why Sanders strangely delayed conceding a month after a large majority chose his opponent and after the superdelegates rejected him and his attempt to get them to overthrow the voice of the people by effectively appointing him our nominee.)

The Mueller investigation only peripherally touched on Sanders role and relation with Russia in the 2016 election. There's never been a proper investigation.

But our intelligence services report that Russia never stopped assisting Sanders, who announced in 2016 that he would run in 2020. We know Sanders himself has always known he has become an extremely valuable Russian asset and that they were plotting to get him nominated as part of reelecting Trump and the Republicans.

And because we know Sanders himself does not share our overriding goal of stopping Repub-Russia and continues to let himself be used by Russia in their war on America, we know that defeating Trump also requires us to convert Sanders from a powerful Russian asset to a broken tool.

I love what Bernie stands for, I love his ideas and I love where he wants to take the country Hell I even went to the rally yesterday.

But yesterday I also saw the toxicity of the "Bernie Or Bust" people first hand and the damage that it can do. And that's part of what made me write that OP.

If Bernie is not the nominee tomorrow, I'm not going to lose sleep over it or ostracize anyone I know who voted for anyone other than Bernie. What we need to do is unite behind whoever does win the nomination. There's way too much at stake to be worried about.
