The rush to Biden has me very nervous

I am very nervous about the rush to embrace Joe Biden. Based on what? One good debate performance, and him winning the only primary he’s ever won in his life?

Thin gruel, IMO.

This is the same Biden who misspoke yet again this week, saying he was running for the Senate. The same Biden who just this week had to admit he was never arrested in SA, a “story” he has told for years. The gaffe machine Biden we all know is still out there on the hustings, and who will remain out there. Only now, the alternatives are narrowing to socialist Sanders and billionaire Bloomberg, both of who are disliked by mainstream Ds. The rest of the field and the Party seem hell bent on putting all of our defeat tRump eggs in the Biden basket.

Sure, Biden has looked sharper over the past week or so, but what’s to say he won’t revert to the disengaged, two-steps-behind form that had concerned people over the length of this primary season?

Me? I expect Joe to drop that basket a couple of times between now and November, with a big assist from our Biden-gaffe-consumed media, not to mention the Rs and the Orange Monstrosity.

Yep. I’m nervous.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Base my decision one one performance. I doubt many others did that.

My decision is based on many things, including the many years Joe has conducted himself with common sense and dignity. That includes as Senator, 8 years of what he did as VP with Clinton.

It s also how he has conducted his personal life over the years. I see the respect he has earned over his long public service.

Real Democrats do not want Kevin McCarthy become speaker due to sanders being on the top of the ballot

THE TUMULTUOUS POLITICAL CLIMATE has given fresh hope to REPUBLICANS, who were privately skeptical of TRUMP’S prediction that House Minority Leader KEVIN MCCARTHY will be the next speaker come 2021. Internal polling commissioned by the NATIONAL REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEE showed that voters in districts targeted by both parties are skeptical of SANDERS -- his approval rating is 42%, and disapproval stands at 53% -- which they believe will help boost their candidates for the House. In these districts, voters prefer TRUMP, 48% to 43%. If SANDERS is atop the ticket, Republicans believe, they can credibly label every Democrat a socialist without fear of overreach.

The "bloom" certainly came off of that Bloomberg rose in the last couple of weeks. A well orchestrated image through purchased airtime can crumble in a heartbeat when the same old personality impaired guy has to show up at a debate.

And Sanders reminded us last week how he sees himself as the savior standing against both parties. Not to mention, he made a stir by saying that Castro made the trains run on time (I mean literacy). He can't dodge all of the questionable things he has said in the past. And worst, he doesn't seem to want to.

I don't understand it since Biden was over 50 points ahead before he even decided to run, that everyone froze while people learned if the VP elephant in the nation would run, and he was far out ahead of a second-tier group double digits behind him for an entire year.

And that, extremely peculiarly, right before IA his name and Sanders' were suddenly and bizarrely reversed on polls and it was Sanders who came from far behind to suddenly be far ahead and it was America's most liked candidate who was far behind. All within a handful of weeks.

But hey, if being nervous at a threat of normality is how you want to roll, a suggestion that the RW and Russian election subversion we know they've had in the works for 3 years failed in SC, best wishes for a really fearsome, dripping nervous sweat.

That's all.

No question Bloomberg would have greater opportunity in November than Biden will. Now we are mostly dependent on Trump dropping in the approval rating.

I share concerns about Biden's age leading to memory lapses and mistakes.

No question Biden has greater opportunity to defeat Trump than Sanders would.

We are making the cautious choice. I can understand Michael Moore's concern even though he was riding the wrong horse.

Bloomberg presented us with an incredible gift of teflon and awe. We threw it away based on unfortunate stuff that wouldn't impact him in November at all.

Day to day detail types make that type of blunder all the time

I think he would seriously suppress black turnout even more than 2016.
