Husband and I just dropped off our ballots voting for Biden

We were Warren supporters up until Saturday when I changed my mind. Hubs decided today after giving it a lot of thought over the weekend.

I still love Elizabeth and believe that she would have had a clear and strong presidency. But this is politics and the very first time I'm voting my head instead of my head & heart. I've been through those election seasons that brought us Nixon, Reagan and the Bushes.

Being in a Super Tuesday state this year sucks.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Hubs and I honeymooned in Oregon 1000 years ago, 1978. Coos Bay salmon fishing and other coastal fun. Growing up in NYC I missed the ocean so much after moving here to CO. We had to be at the ocean for our honeymoon vacation.

Because I have the luxury of waiting a couple of more weeks to vote. But I understand, and if I still lived in CA, I'd be going to Joe, for sure. I sadly doubt that Liz will be able to get through the very narrow path of the nomination that is left open to her. IMO, that would require second place in TX or CA, at least, and beating Sanders in MA. I think she'll win her home, but the others look unlikely. I hope when she goes out of the race, she endorses, as she has already made clear she is, a real Democrat.

... it can split the vote among superb candidates, and produce puzzling results. Fortunately, that seems to have sorted itself out. Hopefully there are not too many absentee ballots submitted for "suspended" candidates.

My choice, due Mar 10, is now clear. I don't have to "agonize" over equally-appealing candidates.

Tonight should be entertaining, once the polls start closing in their time-zones.

It really pisses me off.

I think a much more fair approach to choosing the nominee would be a 50 state single day primary, with the top four going to a second primary and the top two being chosen among the latter.

In New Jersey, our choice will be like an election in the old East Germany. Vote for candidate A or candidate A.

I've been listening to discussions tonight. Chris Hayes brought out the fact that if Bloomberg stayed on his original philosophy path, to neutralize Sanders, then Bloomberg should drop out tonight. But the word is that he's staying in. I heard that after tomorrow he has no ad buys scheduled. So we'll see where he stands tomorrow.

By the same argument that Hayes made about Bloomberg, then Warren should be dropping out tonight and throw support to Sanders - imo. But she's polling 2nd in California so she's hanging in there.

This feels far from over. Jersey voters could wind up being the king makers. What a year!
