If we Democrats don't let him run in our primaries, he can run as an Independent in the general and give us four more years of Trumpian hell. Has he promised he wouldn't do that? If he has, I must have missed it.

(145,340 posts)It takes a ton of money, hard work and time to run as independent. It is not easy getting on the ballot in key states. I doubt that sanders will try to run as an indie

(10,721 posts)But banning him from running would be a PR nightmare. It's best to just let him run and then fizzle out, even if we all know he'll go right back to being an "Independent" after he leaves the race.
