Mayor Pete can win .... President Pete, I like the sound of that.

I have never really listened to him in depth before and I am blown away by his
insights, brilliance, and his understanding of complex issues.

Mayor Pete even quoted poetry, "and in the end big decisions are made in quite rooms" rough quote.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He can help heal this nation and lead it forward after the medieval monster.

We need the better angels of brightness and intellect to take centre stage, not the demons of hate and ignorance.

Atheist here, using metaphysical descriptives for lack (atm) of better prose.

The selfish part of me wants him as VP so we would get 16 years of Pete on the national stage.

My mind say he should go for the top spot now. Trump is literally the antithesis to him. There is no more stark a contrast, all racial, ethnic, gender aspects aside, than that between Buttigieg and Trump.

It literally is darkness versus light.

I actually think (should he so choose to) that at the end of that 16 years, if he was VP then POTUS, (as he would only be 55yo) he could run and win the Senate seat for one of the IN Senators.

If I were to vote in a presidential

South Bend's redevelopment program, that Mayor Pete listened to people and modified the program as needed. Not all mayors do that.

First Biden was torn down when he garnered significant support here. Now it is Mayor Pete. Watch to see which DUers criticize Mayor Pete most loudly. See which candidates they support. If they say they are undecided, look at who they DON'T criticize.

There is much more nuance to the story of the redevelopment program. There is much more to the story of his demotion of the police chief than the simplistic posts you are seeing here. Do your own research before you believe everything you see posted.

He is saying the things that NEED to be said about conservatism.

We just can't do more than put a finger into the hole in the dam until we take conservatism on, and he just goes directly at them, saying the things I have been saying for over a quarter century.

BUT, when I do it, I am seething, I want to eradicate the poison.

He is saying it in a way that people can hear it.

THAT is why I love him.

But, past that, he is simply just at a level beyond anyone else in politics today - the sheer intelligence, the instincts and delivery, the exemplary compassion.

I liked BHO A LOT.

But, Mayor Pete is him 2.0.

He has his charm and style, but is staking the progressive flag much more strongly, and going directly at republicans and conservatives, going into "their turf"like values and religion and taking the battle to them.

This country is nowhere near that open minded. Recall that just a few years ago this country was so blind, so superficial, so bigoted that twitler was elected president.

It would be a guaranteed path to defeat if we nominate PB. That's just reality.
