Buttigieg us staking out the opposite end, critical, but not focused on Trump. I sort of agree with him, but I think he if he is going to choose that lane, he should do it straight up and either say he wants voters to "impeach" or that Republicans have to do their duty now, rather than protect Trump at all costs, and impeachment is just futile without them.

Making the assumption that we'll be ABLE to vote and that our votes will COUNT, even if we come out in MASS in the Fall of 2020.

That's a huge assumption, especially since the ruskies are STILL meddling and who knows what they'll do this time around. They had a 50-state strategy of interference into our GE. Secondly, if fatso does make it out of the thuglican primary, whose to say he won't say he's not leaving if a Dem wins the presidency? Lastly, whose to know if he won't just suspend the 2020 elections? Just stay in the Oval Office and say he's not leaving Yes, it's an extreme point of view, but we know that Senate thuglicans are WITH their president, and support him in whatever he does. We also know that those assholes don't CARE about what the rule of law is. tRumps broken all rules of law that it's not funny. Yet, Senate thuglicans like soulless tRump & soulless McTurtle are right there in lock step with each other.

Impeachment needs to be on the table, but getting into the impeachment debate for the candidates is a distraction. If Trump is still around for 2020, it would be an albatross for the democratic nominee to have given him the "you wanted to impeach me" argument.

Answering this question will be a little tougher for those hopefuls now serving in Congress.

This is the reason I think this: I don't think that the democrats in the House are going to move on impeachment. I think they see the risk politically too high. So why should the candidates go on a limb for something that most likely isn't going to happen.
