LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Latest on the Democratic campaign for president (all times local):

6 p.m.

Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren says Democrats have not paid enough attention to organized labor.

The U.S. senator from Massachusetts was among 2020 hopefuls attending a union forum Saturday in Las Vegas. In response to a question, she said she agrees that the GOP has focused more on tearing down unions than Democrats have on building them up.

Warren says Democrats and unions “have not done enough to protect each other.”

She proposed implementing a method of streamlining union elections called card check. She also called for more pro-labor voices on the National Labor Relations Board and in the Labor Department to ensure businesses treat unions fairly.

Warren detailed her plan to tax the wealthy and fund universal child care and student debt forgiveness as well as require 40% of corporate boards’ members to be representatives of employees.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

in strength steadily for 40 years. Look at the results.

Unions are democracy in the workplace. No unions, no middle class. No middle class, no democracy.

Which ones has she met with during this campaign?

Card check is old news. What specific plans does she have to boost the labor issue?

It eliminates elections that follow card check. Simple majority card check and the union wins representation. Read up on EFCA.

EFCA: https://aflcio.org/about/leadership/statements/employee-free-choice-act-0

Way to early for unions to be endorsing anybody. But come on over to the DU Labor Group: https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=forum&id=1117

Especially when there are so many good candidates. At the earliest I don't foresee it happening until after the first primary.

Biden showed up first to support the Stop & Shop strikers in Warren's own state. She did show up later, but Biden was there first. So, why wouldn't union members fall in behind Biden? He's a union backer.

To start with.

Union executive boards won't be interviewing or endorsing until well after the primaries start next year.

When I first posted about my FTD, I didn't think I'd still be posting at this point.

I'm on Trazadone. In tests it has stopped the advance of FTD in mice. Human trials have started. A safe drug that has been around a long time.

Companies should not have say or involvement. That means they should not be allowed to appeal an election or have any say in when the certification election is held.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
