'It is unimaginable to me the former president will be tried before November' says Judge Luttig - Deadline - MSNBC

Judge Michael Luttig and Tim Heaphy react to the news that the Supreme Court will hear the Donald Trump’s Presidential Immunity case, setting into motion a long drawn out process which plays into the former president’s hand of delaying any of his criminal prosecutions going to trial before the 2024 Election. - Aired on 02/28/2024.

They took too long to charge him & he's used to filing endless appeals or other delay tactics. It'll be going on well after the election. And if he LOSES he'll be appealing as long as possible.
Even after he's convicted he's still not going to be going to jail. He gets secret service protection & the govt isnt going to jail THEM. The best we can hope for, IMO, is housing on a military base & no internet access

That really is the only decision that makes sense unless they want to look partisan. But it looks like they don't care and this is one more decision that could undermine the rule of law. What TFG claims, that a president is immune from prosecution no matter what he does, like attempting to overthrow the government, is ridiculous. Third world countries have jailed leaders who attempted the same.

And if he wins in Nov, he's NOT going to be on trial while President.
