Major points:
At around 20 minutes in he ends the interview and gets to the general election.

Talks about the strong US economy is, GDP in the 3rd Quarter was 3.9, best job market since the 1960's. Wage growth is really good, the lowest number of uninsured, and the deficit is dropping. By every measure we are better off today.  Inflation back down and crime rate has come way down! Violent crime is half of what it was 30 years ago.  We had more domestic oil produced last year than any year in American history plus more renewable energy. 

He argues that people down on the economy is primarily Republicans and MAGA who are bringing down the average because Democrats think things are good, so the gloom is because MAGA is NEVER going to admit things are good for them. MAGA gives Biden a 0 on everything that pulls the numbers down. He mentions this Paul Krugman article here as well that makes the very important point that when asked how someone is personally doing financially they say they are doing great but they have this sense that for other people things are bad but not for them. Simon believes that Biden has a very strong case to bring to the American people about how good things are going.  Biden has been a good President and we just keep winning citing the midterms and that the cycles are off and Dems just keep winning.  

He then goes into how anemic Trump's turnout has been in Iowa and NH.  Almost 700,000 Republicans stayed home in Iowa just not that excited to vote for Trump. 7% of the total electorate. Trump only got 50% of the Republican vote in Iowa and NH. And the thing he believes most worries Republicans is the data coming out showing large numbers of Haley voters will vote for Biden instead of Trump. First time we have ever seen anything like that in modern polling. And a large # of Republicans saying a conviction of Trump would disqualify Trump. A loss of 8 to 10 points showing up in all the battleground states if this happens.  

He suggests the data is very clear that Trump is a flawed candidate. The Trumpian candidates are not doing well in most elections. The Republican party is a bit broken after Dobbs.  Republicans are struggling to bring along the non MAGA parts of the Republican Party. So this basic dynamic of the Republicans struggling and Dems over performing.  The central reason he believes we are in a really good position. 

Finally Trump: 
Far weaker than in 2016 and 2020.  More degraded, more dangerous, his performance on the stump is unhinged and erratic, making tons of unforced errors like attacking the ACA on a year where there are record sign-ups.  There was no upside to this, just an incredible mistake. Also, by claiming credit for ending Roe he has given us a video that will be devastating for him. He's making enormous mistakes from traditional politics. 

He then gives six things the American Public will find out about Trump that they didn't know about him in 2020.  He uses blunt language to talk about these things.  Unprecedented what we are being asked to put up with by Republicans. 
1. A jury of his peers found he raped a women in a dressing room
2. His family committed decades long financial fraud. Found this by a court of law. 
3. The Colorado Supreme Court has found he led an insurrection against the US.
4. He stole America's secrets, lied to the FBI about it and shared these secrets with other people. The single greatest betrayal in American History. 
5. He and his family have taken billions of dollars from foreign Governments. Something never seen before by an American President. 
6. He ended Roe and brags about it on tape.

These are all going to become part of this campaign. Any one of these things could end a campaign and he has six. 

Back to MAGA performing poorly all across the country where people are seeing ads. 

Simon then says he would much rather be us than them.  It could possibly become a blowout and possibly cause MAGA to lose influence. 

He then takes questions and that part is really good too. 

He points out that the only issue they have is immigration but that issue isn't really that important to most people. It's way below things like the economy, climate change etc. in polling. He also says the foreign wars are not really issues Americans care that much about when it comes to voting.

He covers people who watch Fox news are people living in their own fantasy world out of touch with most Americans.
