Pelosi SMACKS Benghazi Republicans-They’ve only been interested in pure extremist political theater

GOP Majority Leader Admits What Benghazi Committee is All About
The office of Democratic Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said,

“House Republicans were never interested in a bipartisan investigation to improve the security of Americans abroad. They’ve only been interested in pure extremist political theater. Leader McCarthy: the American people don’t want more politically-motivated “select committees” – not to smear presidential candidates, and not to assault women’s health. They want real leadership to confront the challenges we face as a nation.”

US tribe to open nation's 1st marijuana resort

FLANDREAU, S.D. (AP) — The Santee Sioux tribe has already proven its business acumen, running a successful casino, a 120-room hotel and a 240-head buffalo ranch on the plains of South Dakota.

But those enterprises have not been immune to competition and the lingering effects of the Great Recession, so the small tribe of 400 is undertaking a new venture — opening the nation's first marijuana resort on its reservation. The experiment could offer a new money-making model for tribes nationwide seeking economic opportunities beyond casinos.

Santee Sioux leaders plan to grow their own pot and sell it in a smoking lounge that includes a nightclub, arcade games, bar and food service, and eventually, slot machines and an outdoor music venue.

"We want it to be an adult playground," tribal President Anthony Reider said. "There's nowhere else in American that has something like this."

Sixth-grader goes Secret Service, meets Hillary Clinton

Belvedere, California (CNN)Richard Cherry LaBourene couldn't get into Hillary Clinton's Bay Area fundraiser on Monday afternoon, so the creative sixth-grader did the best thing he could think to do: Dress like a secret service agent.

LaBourene's plan was quickly noted. Secret Service agents standing outside the fundraiser were amused by kid's creativity and presented him with a metal Secret Service lapel pin, making the youngster a member of their team if only for a few minutes.

"Hi, Richard," Clinton said. "I hear you are going to protect me, my junior secret service agent. I love it."

LaBourene said the meeting was "thrilling."

"I thought it was really exciting to think that one day I can say, 'oh, I met the president,'" he said.

This might not be the last time we see Agent LaBourene. His family said he may dress up as a Secret Service agent for Halloween. And his mom may go as Hillary Clinton.

‘This wasn’t an abortion': CNN forces anti-Planned Parenthood group to admit Fiorina was wrong

“But if you’re talking about organ harvesting and abortions and how terrible they are why would you use a stillborn fetus, which is not a function of an abortion?” Cuomo asked.

“It’s the same baby, whether it’s born dead or alive, whether the organs are harvested or not,” Daleiden replied.

“It’s also completely irrelevant to the point you’re trying to make, which is, ‘Look at what they do to these babies,'” the CNN host pressed. “It was born stillborn. It was not aborted. Doesn’t that matter to you if you’re talking about abortion?”

“It’s the same kind of fetus,” Daleiden continued to insist.

“My point is context,” Cuomo shot back. “You’re saying, ‘what they do in abortions,’ that wasn’t an abortion. That’s my point.”

Progressives Not Out of Touch: New Poll Shows Americans Really Do Hate the Republican Party

Progressives Not Out of Touch: New Poll Shows Americans Really Do Hate the Republican Party
— September 29, 2015

Why is it that only the Republican Party believes it represents American beliefs? Where are they getting their information that somehow this country has become dominated by right-wing, Christian, fanatics that want the U.S. to implement the next Christian Crusade?

It turns out that the Republican Party is just as delusional as Progressive surmised. According to the Wall Street Journal:

The Republican Party has a negative image among the broader electorate. Some 45% of adults viewed the GOP in a negative light, while 29% viewed it positively. By contrast, the Democratic Party is viewed more favorably than unfavorably, 41% to 35%.

Republicans also find themselves at odds with much of the country on immigration and abortion. Republicans, by a two-to-one margin, would support changing the Constitution to deny citizenship to children born in the U.S. to people who are in the country illegally. Democrats want to keep the current law, 70%-26%, and independents also are supportive, 55%-36%.

The poll offers particularly bad news for any conservatives looking to shutter the federal government to block funding for women’s health provider Planned Parenthood. Some 61% oppose any effort to defund the organization, while Republicans are generally supportive of stripping federal funds from Planned Parenthood, 55% to 40%, posing a tricky dilemma for 2016 candidates. Just 9% of Americans would support shutting the government to wage that fight. The women’s health provider is viewed far more positively than negatively among adults overall, 47%-31%.
