Pantagruel
Pantagruel's JournalJuly date for Steve Bannon's contempt of Congress trial
Doesn't mean the 1/6 hearings are doomed. House has reams of testimony and video. It can proceed w/o Bannon, Meadows and many others very successfully and later on double back and bring contempt charges. I seriously doubt the House expected all the Trumpnazis to turn on him. DU worriers need to unclutch their pearls.
Rittenhouse Rule
Confronted with an active shooter, DO NOT try to disarm him or he'll claim self-defense after shooting you. Just let him kill until he's out of ammo.
Now known as the Rittenhouse Rule.
Trump's taxes
Approx. 5 years back Trump promised to release his tax returns once they were done being audited. Would it be possible for Biden's people to update us on the status of that "eternal" audit?
Carl Bernstein : We need to start looking at Trump as America's own war criminal.
Can we publicize and enumerate the charges?
Subpoena dysfunction
Ted Lieu just said one of the reasons "no witnesses called" was because subpoenas were getting stifled in the courts. My question is why all of a sudden Congress can't get subpoenas effectively served? Why the sudden impotence of the process?
Given McConnell's acknowledgement of Trump criminality
you would think he'd be strong supporter of a special prosecutor to investigate the entire matter?
First impeachment in history
where both the Majority and Minority leaders totally agree on the unquestioned guilt of the impeached and believe he should be punished.
Good lawyers
neither shout nor speak fast. Trump has very poor representation but is obviously relying on a fixed jury.

The Brennan Center for Justice, a public policy institute, has already tallied more than 100 bills in 28 states meant to restrict voting access."
I'm starting to think the GOP has convinced themselves that their real enemy is democracy itself.
