TN order to "stay at home" my experience today,

I posted a couple times about how I felt about this bogus stay at home order and how it was worded. Here is what I experienced today, in Bristol. I needed to leave the house to go to CVS and pick up a script for my hcp daughter. On my lil 7 minute drive to CVS, I passed 7 pickups with boats attached heading towards the lake. I am human,,I am somewhat understanding, they are going to fish for food as they just got wanna feed their family.( I know,,Repub thought process) Until the point I went across the street form CVS figuring, I am here,,pick up a pack or 2 of cigs for me. And watched a man filling his truck and boat with gas,,total cost,,73.87. He got ahead of me in line and was big ,bad ass,, without a prompt, telling lady behind counter, " Im feeding my family, the order does not apply to me" Now I normally do not confront,,but I just asked,," are you out of work? is there anyway I can help your family? " He said "Im laid off now and need food." I replied," well that 75 bucks you just spent would have bought alot of food at Food City across the street." He puffed, and blurted truth " No, I dont need no help I just wanna fish,,and you don't need to get in my dam business"

and I paid for my cigs and clerk and I laughed and I said 4 words,,this is most Tennessee.

hi,,new to group..

not sure why it took me so long to join the TN group here..guess I'm finally getting used to DU and how it works! Ive been around DU a while, live in Bristol, Have a absolutely drop dead gorgeous 32 yo challenge daughter and wife with Copd. I am retired now. Worked my last 9 year sas upper mgmnt in the intellectually challenged adult field. I was over supported living homes in that field. ( my largest workload was 13 home, 3 individuals per home, 13 home managers and approx 75-100 staff, I was on call 24/7) That tidbit is not to blow my horn,,but to show what I believed in,fought for,DID in my real life, and quite frankly it almost killed me, I ended up in ICU right before I retired and told the Director my truths.
So I feel introduced, I have my strong opinions on DIDD in Tn and of course the politics of Tn. I look forward to some intelligent conversations with fellow Tennesseans.

heartbreaking truth,,

Soph0571 posted this 5 days ago and it tore my heart out. 5 days in this situation is an eternity it seems. I dont feel this post got to people then, I still cannot read this simple "silver linings" post with tearing up over the sheer truth of children.

I spose it was only a matter of time,

I was in grocer yesterday, getting a few supplies we ran short on. And say an elderly couple, 70s , with obviously hand sewn masks on.
The gentleman's was the American flag design and the ladie's was a red mask with the "MAGA" logo cut out from the cap sewn on it.
I probably should have said something about their hero, but I was honestly a bit shocked.

so we can wear a scarf, ok,,

DimwitDon,, to save your "barely past primate stage" base from any further distress about possible abortions and such, next time I have sex, I'll wear a sock. Hope this helps.

Iwas in store today,,

and standing in line. And this store had no marks on floor where to stand for social distancing, so I laid down and my heel accidently, touch the person in front of me. The Maga turned around and said "WTH??"" I stood up and said, " Im 6 ft tall, I was just trying to figure out where to stand, put your gun away"

Credit to a 6ft person who posted anonymous,, but it made me chuckle..

just had a long talk with Mrs K
we are honestly going through things,,,house sales, family dying,,my rum drinking and this morn I happened to blurt out my heart,,and she just stopped.. stared at me ,,,, cried all I said was "it is easy to say you love, there is a far greater responsibility to know that you are BEING LOVED"

easy very easy taco lasagne

buy ground beef, chicken ,turkey you choice,, 1lb to 1pack ,buy taco seasoning, brown your protein and stop,,do not add the water that taco seasoning asks for...add the taco seasoning. add anything that you like on tacos,,onions peppers and on and on , and then add instead of water, jars of salsa, your flavor, your heat, I do do a 16 oz jar of salsa for 1.5 pounds of protein, but it can vary, beauty of this recipe.

now you have your protein mix,, buy 10 inch tortillas, I use special hi protein, lo carb kind and lets build,, 9x 13 pan lay down 2 tortillas and wrap sides up,,, toss a layer of your protein mix on and put 2 more tortillas down, etc etc unil 9x13 dish is full,, it is 4 layers in this house. toss all in a 350 degree oven for 30 mins. Cut like you would a lasagne, serve, I serve with a dollop of FF sour cream,, and just enjoy..
