I was born of Lebanese parents in the U.S. and raised in Virginia where I learned to ride horses, hunt and acquire a love of history. I am a veteran of the U.S. Navy submarine service during the Cold War, graduate of the University of South Carolina, seventeen veteran of state law enforcement as an officer, academy instructor, investigator and administrator. I served for three years as a U.S. Department of Defense specialist with one pre-surge deployment to western Iraq and I am currently a school teacher with DoD Schools for the children of Navy and Marine families in the U.S. I am also currently seeking a masters degree in history. Family History: I am married to my beautiful wife who is also a registered nurse, Air Force veteran of the '91 Persian Gulf War, and loving mother of our 13 year old son who was born in China, and who became a member of our family when he was only 5. Our son is a current senior member of the Boy Scouts of America with the rank of Life Scout and is Eagle Scout bound. He is academically gifted, athletically active, loves to shoot his firearms, hike, camp, and ride his bike. We live in a nice home on an intercoastal island near the South Carolina coast. We have an extensive home library and we avoid the television culture. We enjoy our friends, neighbors, family and church. We love to cook, eat right and stay in shape. And yes, we are politically active.
