1 out of 4 women & 1 out of 6 men is sexually assaulted at some point in their life [View all]

So please think about this statistic when attempting to make 'jokes' when confronted with discussions about women seen as sexual objects. I'm sure many of you are tired of hearing it but look at the people you know in your real life.

If you are a man and have daughters, sisters, wives, girlfriends, aunts, mothers, grandmothers or female friends or work associates there's a good likelihood that one of those women has been sexually assaulted or will be.

If you are a woman and think about only women who are sexually assaulted, keep in mind that if you have a husband, boyfriend, son, uncle, brother, grandfather or friend or work associate, one of them may have been or will be sexually assaulted in his lifetime.

This means someone (more than one I'm sure) on this very board has been sexually assaulted. Sexual assault, rape and molestation is never something to be sarcastic about or joke about when trying to get a point across in a reply to a discussion on this board or anywhere else... no matter how tired you may be of a certain subject.
