I don't know how the writers write for 17 people. Seems like the writers phone it in some weeks. What becomes of all the careers of these cast members after SNL?

Weekend Update used to be worth watching.

I think it has survived because for years there was nothing else on tv on Saturday nights.

Maybe we're all just jaded now.
