I saw this excerpt on an X post. Please read and go to my comments below.
I am floored that someone who claims to be a liberal/progressive would be OK with a Trump victory. It's an incredibly flawed strategy.
First, when Democrats lose elections to republicans, they tend to go more right or moderate in the next election. Second, it in no way punishes Biden or Democrats. It punishes ordinary people who will have their rights taken away.
What really annoys me is the smug look she has on her face. And this is something I've seen a lot of on social media of late. Many, not all, of these people who declare Biden and democrats are just as evil as Trump and republicans are privileged white people who will suffer little or no consequences when republicans win elections.
I don't know how to fight this, but an open to ideas.
