Even with the Queens Diamond Jubilee this year, courtesy of the tax payer. The battle on the high street with UK shops slugging it out UK wide to see who can fill their shops with the cheapest Brit Nat Tat is on.
However a survey published in April shows that most Scots have fallen out of love with the monarchy. Only 41% finding any pride in the Queen, with 55% feeling no Scottish connection. More Scots found pride in Haggis at 70% preferring a sheep's stomach with offal to the Queen. Contrast that to England where 80% say the Queen makes them feel proud to be English. Anyway I digress
