All voters here are technically independents. You can vote in whichever primary you choose, but you must only choose one party, and you can only vote in that party's runoff (if there is one).

I have always voted for Dems in Presidential elections, but I can vote for any party in other elections. I would say that I've voted Democratic about 90-95 percent of the time since 1988, when I first started voting. But to be honest, probably the only reason I've remained a Democrat is because we don't have a viable third party on the left.

I'm hoping the Democrats move further to the left, but I know it's unlikely for the party to change a lot anytime soon. I would be satisfied if we just became the party of FDR again.
