But Trump has talked about it in regard to the Syrian refugee/all Muslims must be kept out issue. It's a pretty big news story on this side of the pond. San Bernardino has brought into focus the regs for accepting people into the country.

Cologne rightly strikes fear into women's hearts. A thousand men gathered to assault women in a systematic, organized way, with a method.

Bernie has a couple of standard lines he says, that it's our moral duty to accept refugees, and he will do that as Pres (applause)

I agree with him, he's my guy. But I think he could add a preface (maybe not every time he gives the speech, but at least get it out there on the record)

We've all seen the news of the horrific mass sexual assaults in Germany. As a proud feminist, I'm outraged that this happened to so many victims, and hope that the perpetrators are brought to justice. The authorities say it was conducted by men who'd arrived into Germany with the recent wave of refugees. The assaults were of such scale and organization as to be unprecedented, so I know these reports could cause Americans to worry. Of course we want to do everything we can to make sure it never happens here.

Let me be perfectly clear: the program bringing Syrian refugees into our country is completely different. Refugees arriving in the US have spent a year, even two, living in a refugee camp overseas, waiting to be fully vetted. The refugees coming into our country are coming as family units, unlike the large numbers of single men admitted into Germany without any vetting, many not even from the warzone at all. The UN has asked the US to accommodate 65,000 refugees per year, compared to the million accepted by Germany without vetting in just a few months. There is no need to fear this modest number of refugee families entering via a careful admission process.
