Hi there,

Hope you don't mind me reaching out.

I am currently in the middle of researching the life of Annie Malone- I am particularly curious about her divorce and the court case. I know this may seem like a quite a forthright question but in the 1920s would Annie Malone had an African American lawyer? From what I know, St Louis had one of the highest amounts of lawyers in the USA, so I just wondered what the probability would be of having an African American lawyer.

Best,
Amy
