General Discussion

We do have just a few doves. Never had a mouse in a feeder that we know of. Some of the feeders have centuries old technology for that. We put them up to keep the squirrels, raccoons, mice, etc from climbing the polls. You can see the baffle in the lower right of the picture.



The only real bird we don't want are the starlings. There are feeders that are starling resistant, we just don't have any (yet).

We do have 3 feeders with cages that the other birds we want have no problem with that keep the starlings out. That is why we leave the bottom of these pictured cages open.




And some feeders don't accommodate the larger sparrows.





The finch's appreciate the three tube and yellow niger feeders.




We have stopped ground feeding the turkeys. Marta loves the crows that depended on that, but we want to get rid of the turkeys for awhile.
