In the role of Jackie, I was surprised at how someone as gorgeous as Portman, completely fails to convey the charm, poise and - oddly - the beauty that Jackie had. I may be misjudging it - forming an opinion on the trailer alone, but the people who made the movie selected the segments to put in the trailer.

One observation - I think they spent too much time on getting the wardrobe and Jackie's very whispy voice correct and too little trying to get convey much depth. This made it seem to me more like a caricature than a serious attempt to capture who Jackie was. Portman really bears little resemblance to Jackie - other than that they are both very beautiful brunettes. For some reason, Portman is made to look plainer than I have ever seen her -- maybe to try to make her look more like Jackie. I suspect that they should have concentrated on capturing the classy, sophisticated, beauty. ( ie the young Audrey Hepburn - say My Fair Lady time frame captures that - even without looking like Jackie.)
