35. Cracked's latest shtick is to play devil's advocate... even if the position doesn't make any sense.

They take the popular view on a thing, and then twist and bend facts until they can somehow make an argument that exactly the opposite is true.

For example:
They tried to make an argument that the Empire in Star Wars is actually the good guys.
They tried to make an argument that the fictitious Persians in the movie 300 are actually the good guys, by talking about the historical Persians.

So edgy.

Another shtick is picking on what is obviously mistakes and oversights in movie-making and book-writing, and then using these aberrations as the basis for speculations why this movie or that book means something totally different than what everybody thinks.

For example:
Some fan-theory on Star Wars, based on the fact that there are Earth-ducks and Earth-bees in shots showing nature, or Earth-rats and Earth-snakes in shots showing Jabba's dungeon.
