New Program will Provide Insulin at Discounted Prices [View all]

Source: The Diabetic News

Certain people who use insulin to manage their diabetes may benefit from a 40-percent discount thanks to a new partnership, which would start on January 1st.

Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY) today announced that people who use Lilly insulin will be able to access discounted prices for their purchases starting January 1, 2017 via mobile and web platforms hosted by Blink Health.

The discounts, provided by Lilly through a partnership with Express Scripts, may reduce costs for people who pay full retail prices at the pharmacy, such as those who have no insurance or are in the deductible phase of their high-deductible insurance plans.

The discount will be automatically applied. Payments are made online and the prescriptions can be picked up at virtually any U.S. pharmacy, including: Walgreens, CVS/pharmacy, Target, RiteAid, Safeway and Kroger.
