No one should ever receive the death penalty under purely circumstantial evidence, especially when they vehemently proclaim their innocence. But there's no chance this guy is innocent, and there doesn't appear to be any point to rehabilitation since he would never leave prison even if he weren't sentenced to death. Absent any other redeeming advent, I think he's gotta go.
