8. "Lolita" wasn't just about perversion, it was about obsession.

If you see the film, you will notice that the two older men in the film try to possess and control Lolita. In the end, she ends up with a guy much more her age who wants to live a normal husband and wife life with her, which seems to be what she wants. I take the lesson from this film that life isn't supposed to be about perversion or obsession, or about owning, controlling, or possessing someone. Life is supposed to be about humans loving each other and making each other happy.
