At 81, I have seen a lot. And if what we're seeing is not the beginning of the end of civilization as we've known it, I will be surprised. My husband and I (he's 85) are glad we're where we are in our lives. It is very painful to watch what's happening. ( To the above list of sadness please add the increased rate at which the rain forest is being removed in Brazil. Announced this morning.) There is nothing worse than leadership (so-called) which is incompetent, lazy and self-aggrandizing. It is NO leadership at all and I fear the future more than I fear the virus.
