54. Here's A Good Writeup On The Situation...
Thu May 18, 2023, 07:20 PM
May 2023

From the guys at Electoral-Vote, from yesterday’s page. There’s no mechanism for removing Senators or Representatives from office due to incapacity. And if her mental state is compromised, Feinstein may not even be legally capable of resigning, because she may not be capable of understanding what she’s doing. The whole situation is a potential disaster for the Democrats, depending on what Senator Feinstein’s condition is.

I hope that she’s OK, and it’s not as bad as it sounds, or as bad as it could be/seems. However, - from an outsider’s perspective - but make no mistake, I am in NO WAY criticizing her or diminishing her service as a Senator , she has looked to be making some unforced errors that would seem to be indicative of a cognitive impairment that’s gotten worse over the last couple of years. Her statements referenced in the link and seeming inability to recognize that she’s been absent, just make it all look worse.

It's not just a rash. The Unmitigated Gall May 2023 #1

Senator is not a position you fire. It is her decision, and her decision alone. bucolic_frolic May 2023 #8
Assuming she is of sound mind and is capable of making such a decision. There are doubts about that. LonePirate May 2023 #12
And the procedure for declaring a Senator of unsound mind is .......... bucolic_frolic May 2023 #15
