In reply to the discussion: Rapper Kenny Clutch killed in Las Vegas shooting [View all]graham4anything
(11,464 posts)76. Original Gangsta Johnny Cash shot a man in Reno Just to watch Him Die
When you have people glorifying guns, it goes without saying
as Gangsta Waylon Jennings sang
(c)
Dontcha think this outlaw bit, done got out of hand (and on some versions the B was replaced by a SH)
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="
and don't forget Original Gangsta's Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton took to the streets
and like the rapper in the story, had a shoot out with each other.
If I remember correct, Ronald Reagan paroled Original Gangsta Merle Haggard from San Quenton
and I remember parents going nuts over their kids listening to Original Gangsta Elvis and the four Gangsta Beatles
A poem does not need music.
Now, not making a comment on this particular incident, and not glorifying violence
In fact, MOST rap doesn't glorify violence. It is like today's 6pm news.
it tells stories about life
there is something very unsettling about this entire thread coming from a democratic board.
very unsettling.(to no one specific, just in general).
Especially though as the dead person was the VICTIM not the perpetrator of anything at all.
but what do I know.
I don't think though Reno is too far from Vegas is it?

Somehow I doubt the NRA will claim this could've been prevented by arming all rappers

When I heard about the crash, I said it was probably a rapper; I was thinking back on this news:

The temptation at this stage will be to blame the *real* victim here: the precious gun.
