That is pretty much standard procedure for the large bowl games, the losing team is hustled off the field to clear way for the trophy presentation, and interviews from the podium.

Same thing happened in the Sugar Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl, the Orange Bowl, and of course the Rose Bowl which FSU pays in. It is amusing that the media has failed to note this.
