Asberger's syndrome, a milder version of Autism was removed from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association. This means that Asberger's patients no longer can get insurance coverage for treatment or medication. If a person is diagnosed with the symptoms of Asberger's the diagnostician can either declare the patient has no symptoms at all, or has full blown Autism. Using the same reasoning, if insurance companies decided to no longer cover any respiratory illness less severe than double pneumonia you will see a tremendous spike in the diagnosis of double pneumonia.

THIS IS BS! De Leonist Mar 2014 #1
