(135 posts)Add to this the fact that wheat, barley, oats, all mentioned in the Book of Mormon, were absent in pre-columbian America. If they were brought here by migrating Hebrews, they would surely have survived. No evidence of this.
Moreover, for decades it has been well-known that blood type analysis indicated an asian origin of the native Americans. (The B antigen is missing from both populations). Recent DNA analysis settles the issue: native Americans are descended from wandering Siberian tribes that couldn't keep their bearing (Bering) strait.
