My husband is a Palestinian, born in March of 1948; his mother tells the story of how their village near Haifa was surrounded by the 'Israeli' (Stern and Irgun) forces and because of the shelling of the houses by tanks she covered her two month old son as he lay in his crib. The family was lucky to make it to Lebanon and after waiting many months and even years started a new life. He eventually made it here to America where he is now a US citizen. He is one of the lucky ones. There are still people in Refugee Camps!
These lines, whether green or red, black or white, have real life consequences.
We are all on this little planet together.
