There was a parent name that always used to make me wince when it showed up on the call list. It was a dad, who had preschool twins. He was a good dad, and very observant, and VERY detail oriented. I'd always know that he would go on and on, at great length, including every possible detail from the last 3-4 weeks just in case something might be even remotely relevant to the reason for today's call.
I'm not very assertive, so it was very difficult to find a way to politely interject and attempt to get him to cut to the chase.

Yes, but only when the caller claims it is a matter of national security. Maybe twice a week.
