2 terrorists killed in IDF strike in Gaza [View all]
Two Palestinians were killed around noon Wednesday by an IAF strike on a terrorist cell near the Gaza Strip border. Palestinian emergency services say one person was injured in the attack.
According to the IDF, two Palestinian terrorists were spotted by an army post as they were approaching the border fence in the central Strip at around 11:30 am, along with a suspicious cargo cart.
One of the killed terrorists, Muhammad Abu Uda, was hit in the strike and by the detonated device. IDF forces left the scene half an hour later. Military jeeps evacuated Israeli hikers from the area for fear of firing incidents.
The army said in response to the incident, "The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to target the citizens and soldiers of the State of Israel and will continue to act against any element involved in terror. Hamas is fully responsible."
