i would like to make a proposal for this forum. i would like to suggest that we keep all [View all]

outside confrontations with other forums/people in meta, and keep the feminist forum for feminist issues.

i am not saying this well, and all can help to discuss and define. not a rule. i am not really into making rules. but, when we have issues like we have had recently, have a thread in meta for the drama, trauma of it all.

i will be the first to say, i have brought jury votes into this forum. which could have brought other people into the forum who really have no reason or desire to participate in this forum, per our statement.

There isn't any way to do what you suggest. laconicsax Feb 2012 #19
I don't think that is necessary. All groups should uphold DU community standards, imo. yardwork Feb 2012 #28
That's a good and long overdue proposal... Violet_Crumble Feb 2012 #10

Wouldn't that be using the Help & Meta forum as this group's trash heap? UnrepentantLiberal Feb 2012 #15
no. it would be used to address issues we have on du. and i think that is absolutely the intent seabeyond Feb 2012 #16
It would be using Help & Meta to stage toxic flame wars you'd rather not have in this forum. UnrepentantLiberal Feb 2012 #17
it would eb using meta as intended to address the issues at du instead of the forum seabeyond Feb 2012 #18

we are being "nice ladies" and not even warning them. the poster felt the need to take it to META seabeyond Feb 2012 #21
I see the thread in Meta, but I don't read it as a call-out of you or of your post here. yardwork Feb 2012 #26
flame wars as opposed to issues concerning du, is a reasonable and respectful? nt seabeyond Feb 2012 #31
Please show me the quote. I may be being dense. yardwork Feb 2012 #32
Since when do you get to decide who has "no fucking business in this forum"? LeftyMom Feb 2012 #22
they are not talking about feminist issues. they are breaking the SOP rules. seabeyond Feb 2012 #23
Discussing how the group is run is certainly on-topic. LeftyMom Feb 2012 #24
Where are SOP rules being broken in this thread? yardwork Feb 2012 #27
this is about disrupting the feminist forum. nt seabeyond Feb 2012 #29
