Would prosecute the people who hire them but it will never happen. The state of Texas
employs thousands who work in construction and state road projects.
All the workers have to do is supply a drivers license and SS # and you can get both at the local flea markets.
I used to keep books for a local millionaire who used illegals in his Big commercial landscaping business and he always looked th other way when they showed up looking for work.

This was decades ago but it still happens.
Most of the state roads (and most construction/building jobs) are built by illegals who work arduously out in the hot sun with very little job security. Pitiful, really. The biggest donors to our Gov. Abbott are in construction.
