I live in an Hispanic (mostly Cuban) neighborhood. Yesterday I was in the waiting room of a local garage while my air conditioner was being fixed (South Florida has hot afternoons). I overheard a conversation in Spanish that I barely understood between two other customers and a service manager. I knew that they were talking about a terrorist attack in Colombia. I asked, "What happened?" and they switched to English and explained the situation. Next the conversation was about the immigrants crossing the boarder and they seemed to agree that the immigrants have to come in legally and "wait their turn", like they did. I listened. Then they talked about the evils of Socialism in Venezuela and the only other woman there asked "Why would anyone want to live like that?" I responded, "Was life better under a dictatorship?" With that, one of the men asked me where I was from, and we all shared our backgrounds. I, from my birthplace, Washington DC, and the others from Cuba, Colombia, and Peru. Then my car was ready.

My fourth poll member is a Cuban neighbor in his 70s who daily walks the streets and alleyways feeding the feral cats in our neighborhood. He carries paper bowls, bottles of water, and dry cat food in his backpack. He always stops to talk whenever he passes by my back porch. He came to the US in the 60s and lived in Arkansas for a few years. He absolutely loathes Trump and everything he stands for. He keeps up with the news and his rantings bring me so much comfort. I just walked in from a conversation.

I don't think that it's mostly "older Cubans" who support Trump. I used to think that.
