and it would appear that Sally is acting like a large water pump... and is transferring about a trillion gallons of water onto the southern Alabama and the panhandle of Florida

That is if 30 inches in a fairly small region and less in a much larger region.

That's a lot of fresh water... takes a lot of energy from the ocean to make that much fresh water from salt water.

Wish we had a way to send it to the west coast... like 1/4 to 1 inch for all of California, Oregon, and Washington.
