For our family it is a matter of life and death.
If Romney is elected, the Affordable Care Act will likely soon be history. We will spend down all our savings on insurance premiums to ensure our daughter has access to health care - and I will be working long past when I expected to be able to retire, because it will be a choice between earning the $18,000 extra to pay for her insurance premiums and forcing her into poverty so she is eligible for SSI. (Her medical care costs $40-$60,000/year in a good year).
