Yikes. Her family told media outlets back in the '70s she had no indigenous ancestry. Her brother met a Sesame Street producer who remarked that he looked white. He responded that, in effect, Buffy was white, too. Her lawyers sent him a threatening letter and she eventually accused him of sexual abuse. (Which may well be true. I don't know.)
Buffy's done a lot of good in her life. I've always liked her. But -- wow.
