8. He DID get the max, AND the judge ran his sentences consecutively

otherwise it would have been 9 to 27 years.

When he's done serving the minimum nine years two years from now, he'll only be qualified for parole.

As a judge on Court TV told off a defendant after reciting a mile-long list of the charges he'd been convicted of, I actually started rooting for the judge to run his sentences consecutively as if I were watching a game show -- and I won!
