Does Deep Purple belong in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? [View all]

Pro Very influential band; the band members are a kind of "who's who" list; "Smoke on the Water" is one of the iconic all time hits.

Con While the band tours a lot today, and toured a lot before their hiatus, they did not do much new, relevant work after the mid 70s (about 6 years into their career). Their career comes down to three "big" hits: "Smoke on the Water', "Hush", and "Woman from Tokyo"
