there is at least one segment in there where a train is going overhead and someone in a box-truck tears off their roof. The train doesn't seem fazed by it.

Also, it often looks like people hit the warning sign structure first, and either get stopped or damage their roofs that way.

I think I'm more surprised they haven't excavated the roadway some to give more clearance. You can't raise the trestle due to the limited grade available to the train, so lower it for the vehicle traffic instead. Wouldn't be that difficult, and wouldn't upset the structure of the trestle, so long as they get some decent road engineers (the railroad company would likely insist on providing their expertise; they're all quite picky about their ROWs...)
