Although a "write in" for Brent Musburger was considered. I have never forgiven him for a snide remark about a baseball players' strike going into the summer; Mushburger said that if the strike wasn't settled no one would care because the NFL pre-season was about to begin.

The worst thing ever was when ABC teamed up Howard Cosell and Keith Jackson to do the World Series. Now, that was bad.
